The lobstermonster has been doing all sorts of things with Buddycloud's API recently. Check out his blog for the latest experiment where he uses Buddycloud's XMPP location butler to update his blog. Buddycloud is mainly about setting placemarks, but of course once you have a latitude and longitude it's easy to build maps that auto-update as you move around.
